  • This is some great information, and I appreciate your point that wooden decks regain around seventy-seven percent of their cost. My husband and I just moved into a new house, and we plan on being here for five to ten years, so we’re looking at improvements we can make and enjoy that will also up the home’s value. It would be really nice to have an outdoor living space, so we’ll definitely look into installing a wood deck. Thanks for the great post!

Why are composite decks worse value?

  • Thanks for sharing how beneficial it can be to build a deck. You make a great point about how they can be a great place for gathering with family or friends and eating outdoor meals. When I was little we had a deck and I loved eating dinner outside. Hopefully, I can build one for my home.

  • It has always been one of my dreams to have a deck on my home, and I wasn’t sure why. I never considered that a deck can actually stretch the living area. We usually have parties with our friends in the summer, and it would be nice to have them come over and relax outside.

Very interesting article. I didn’t realize that when you install a wooden deck you will get 77% of the value back when you sell you your house. I can see why this would be good to know if deciding to install a deck.

  • Home repairs and renovation must be done by professionals to avoid more problems.
